Roger Portnoy

Roger heads Corporate Strategy for FNZ. One of his key functions is to investigate new market opportunities for the firm, and to originate and develop strategic partnerships. This encompasses new financial products, technologies and services that FNZ believe are essential to support both the money and wealth management objectives of its mass affluent clients using both direct and intermediated platform propositions around the globe.

Roger took up his current position in November 2012 after spending nearly 4 years on the FNZ Group board as a Non-Executive Director, where he led oversight to Group Risk and Compliance, and involvement in the company’s Strategic roadmap.

Roger’s career in financial services, technology and information has spanned more than 25 years. From 2001, he served as a Non-Executive Board Member for a number of venture-backed companies including Mergermarket Group, Lexit Capital, and Velsys. Through his consultancy practice, Starting-Right.com, he acted as a special advisor on strategic planning and value realization to Tradar Ltd, Radianz Inc, Northstar Systems, and other financial technology and information companies based in the US, and UK.

Roger graduated from Colgate University, NY with a B.A. with Honors in both Philosophy and Japanese Studies. He is an avid and dedicated fitness person and has travelled extensively around the globe, living for a time in different parts of the Far East.
